Why should I consider choosing a new energy supplier?
For a long time, only one utility company provided all aspects of energy services to our homes. In recent years, states across the country have developed competitive markets for energy, providing the opportunity for energy suppliers to compete with each other over the price of electricity and natural gas to power your home or business.
How does the process work?
The process is easy:
- Step 1. Have your utility account info ready
- Step 2. Review our plans
- Step 3. Fill out the simple online form to complete the process
Do I have to notify my current utility company about the change?
No. Once you have signed up for one of our plans, we will take care of contacting your current utility on your behalf. You will receive a notice from your utility confirming your selection of a new supplier.
Will my service be affected by the change?
You wont experience any interruptions or delays in service. Your current utility company will continue to service all equipment as well as respond to any requests for service.
Is there an enrollment fee?
No. There is no enrollment or startup fee for entering into an agreement with Constellation Energy.

What is deregulation?
Deregulation means that government regulation of a particular industry is reduced or eliminated in order to create and foster a more efficient marketplace.
What states allow customers to choose their energy supplier?
Many states have deregulated energy policies and we currently serve: Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.
How can a supplier offer a better price than my current utility?
As a competitive supplier of electricity and natural gas, Constellation Energy can provide pricing options that more closely reflect the current market.
Does energy choice affect reliability?
Not at all. You won't notice any change in your existing service. Your regular utility company is bound by law to provide equal service regardless of the company that is providing your electric supply.
If I choose a new supplier what changes can I expect?
Your new energy bill may be lower than what your current utility is offering. Your new bill will indicate that Constellation Energy is the provider of your electric and/or gas generation supply.

What documents are needed to get the rebate?
- Rebate form
- Copy of order confirmation email
- Copy of your 1st full month's bill from your utility indicating Constellation as your provider
